About this app

Tygar App is the field companion to the Tygar RMS rental management system. It is built for car rental employees and requires a company account to sign in.

Agents use it on a phone to run the work that happens away from a desk — at the return lane, in the lot, next to the vehicle. Counter tablets run it in kiosk mode for contract signing and customer photo capture.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Vehicle returns
Close a rental agreement from the return lane. Record the odometer and fuel level, capture the walkaround, log any new damage, collect the renter's signature, and see the final charges before you close.

Damage reports
Pin damage directly on an interactive vehicle diagram — scratches, dents, cracks, flat tires, missing parts. Attach a photo to each point, add notes, and capture signatures from the renter and any third party involved.

Fleet checks
Run tour-based fleet inspections with barcode and QR scanning. Scan units in the lot and sync when you are back on a connection.

Unit lookup
Find any vehicle by unit number, VIN, or plate, and see its current status.

Contract signing (counter tablets)
Registered counter tablets wait in standby and pick up signing requests in real time. The renter reviews the agreement, initials, and signs on the tablet.

Customer photo (counter tablets)
Guided self-capture with an on-screen face guide. The tablet detects when the face is centered and at the right distance, then captures automatically.

BUILT FOR THE WAY THE WORK ACTUALLY HAPPENS

Works with intermittent connectivity — inspections, damage reports, and fleet scans are stored on the device and upload when the connection returns.

Location is recorded with inspections and damage reports so each record carries proof of where it was taken.

Personal information saved on the device is encrypted before it is written to disk.

ACCESS

A company staff account is required. The app has no public sign-up and no functionality is available without an account. If you are an employee and cannot sign in, contact your location manager.

What’s new

- Tire photos. Locations can now require a photo of each of the four wheels during checkout and return inspections. The camera stays open for all four shots and guides you around the vehicle, so it's four taps and one lap.
- Tap any captured photo to view it full screen. Odometer, fuel and tire photos now open large with pinch-to-zoom, and retaking has its own clearly marked button — no more accidental retakes.
