About this app

You can read and listen okay, but you stumble when it comes to speaking — this problem isn't solved by memorizing more vocabulary, but by having someone listen to you speak and give you honest feedback on your mistakes.

Memmoread Speaking, or Memmo Speak on your mobile screen, is an English speaking practice app for Thai people who already have a foundation in listening and reading. Record your speech, and a teacher will check every sentence, explaining the reason for your score and suggesting areas for improvement.

■ The Heart of the App: Watch → Narrate → Teacher Asks

1. Watch a short video clip — clips are categorized by level, with vocabulary intended for you to learn. You can turn on subtitles or not, and watch as many times as you like.
2. Narrate the clip to the teacher — there's no script to read from. You have to structure the story yourself, explaining what the clip was about, and try using the new words you just encountered.
3. Teacher Asks — the teacher corrects your mistakes immediately. They'll ask further questions until you've fully explained everything.

Step 2 is what sets this app apart from other speech-repeating apps, because you have to think for yourself before you can speak. And that's the only language that truly makes your level move forward.

■ 4 Modes: Choose according to your mood that day.

• Practice Conversational Response — Listen to a model and repeat sentence by sentence. Record as many times as you like. Suitable for days when you can't think of sentences on your own.
• Practice Fluent Long-Term Speaking — Repeat announcements section by section, then speak the whole thing yourself. Suitable for when you need to explain work or give a presentation.
• Let's Talk — Speak entirely on your own. The teacher will interact and check every sentence. If you can't think of anything, you can ask for hints.
• Learn from Videos — Watch short videos and explain to the teacher using words you just encountered. Learn new words and use them in real life.

■ Practice Cycles Through 4 Stages

Level Assessment → Teacher plans for the entire month → Practice 15-30 minutes a day → Reassess and see if you've improved (reassess every 14 days) and then cycle back to plan again. This isn't a course that ends once you finish it.

■ Assessment

The scoring criteria are based on two models and measured on content and vocabulary at a level actually used in daily life and the workplace.

• Separate scores by axis — Language accuracy, fluency, pronunciation, and arrangement. Where does each aspect fit in?
• The exercises are based on real-life situations — read aloud, describe what you saw, answer questions, solve problems based on the information provided, and express your opinion.
• The exercises are summarized at a single level, with clear sentences describing what you can currently do.

Note: The scores obtained are based on Memmo Speak's own criteria, not official IELTS or TOEIC scores, and this app is not affiliated with either test provider.

■ Who is this app for?

• Those who can read and listen reasonably well but struggle with speaking.
• Those who need to use English at work, in meetings, or with clients.
• Those who are shy about speaking in front of others — in the app, you can make mistakes as many times as you want; no one will stare at you.
• Those who have quit courses before — 15-30 minutes a day is enough; even a two-day break won't ruin anything.

This app is not suitable if you are starting from scratch or looking for a test preparation app to improve your score. This app trains you to speak, not to pass the test.

■ How to get started

Log in with your Google or Apple account for the first time to receive free trial credits. No payment required yet. Watch clips, listen to sample audio, read scripts, and listen to your own recordings — all free. Credits are only needed when your teacher checks your recording.

■ Requirements

• Internet access (Teachers check audio on the server)
• Your phone's microphone is sufficient, as long as your seating isn't too noisy to drown out your voice.

■ Privacy

Recorded audio is saved for later listening. If you're not a member, files older than 90 days will be automatically deleted. You can delete your account and all data yourself in the app; no approval is needed.
