MEMO is an innovative app created by University of Queensland researchers to explore prospective memory (PM) – the essential ability to form and fulfill future intentions in everyday life, such as remembering to pay bills or take meds.
This app pushes the boundaries of cognitive science by assessing PM in your actual daily environments, not sterile labs. It helps identify when age-related memory changes emerge, why lapses happen (due to context like busyness or familiarity), how errors occur (omissions vs. commissions like accidental repeats), and what strategies work best to prevent them.
