About this app

The Memphis Mobile App is the best way to connect, monitor, and control your Memphis Wood Fire Grill. Easily check your food from home, work, the store, or your car (the passenger seat, of course). Plus, built-in automated recipes know exactly at what temp and how long to cook your favorite cuts of meat.

Unlike many other grill monitoring apps, the Memphis Mobile app works through the cloud, meaning that as long as your cell phone has a connection and your grill is connected to your home Wi-Fi network, you can literally check your grill from anywhere in the world. The App allows you to adjust the temperatures of both your grill and meat probe set points. You are required to turn the grill on manually before use, but we’ve included a safety feature that allows you to power the grill down remotely. Happy grilling!

I have an Android and the app works fine. Can control my grill from the office if I wanted to with it. Like the temperature trend chart for the meat probe. It could use some improvements though. Wish you could set automatic updates for grill status, or it should update faster without having to hit the refresh. Main problem is not getting an alert when then grill has a fault. Lost 2 hours of cook time on a brisket because of this. App or grill needs to push alerts if the grill has a fault.

The wifi card supports only 2.4Ghz band, disable smart band switching on your router or the grill will contantly disconnect from wifi. Make sure you see 2 wifi networks on a laptop before connecting to wifi. Initial setup did not work on android phone, redirect to the ssid page doesn't work. Setup works fine from a laptop. Disconnect grill power to reset the wifi card after a power outage. Works from my phone to control the grill remotely, you don't have to be on local network.

It's only useful to check temps without walking out to the grill. This could be SO much better, with a little thought into what someone really needs to control and monitor, while grilling. The interface is clunky and the graphs are horrible.
