About this app

Ahova is an app for protection against phone scammers and suspicious calls.

The app analyzes incoming and outgoing calls (GSM and supported VoIP calls in Telegram, WhatsApp, and Viber), helps identify fraudulent schemes, and warns users about potentially dangerous callers in real time.

Your privacy is our priority!
Conversation content analysis is performed locally on the user's device. Audio recordings and transcripts are not sent to third-party servers.

Ahova Features:
• Detection of suspicious and fraudulent calls
• Conversation analysis using local AI
• Checking numbers against a database of known scammers
• Support for regular and some VoIP calls
• In-call alerts
• Call history and detections
• Real-time protection
• No data transfer

How the app works:

Ahova monitors active calls and analyzes them for signs of fraud. If suspicious activity is detected, the app alerts the user, ends the call, blocks the contact, and alerts selected family contacts.

The service is used only to:
• detect call activity;
• analyze signs of fraudulent activity;
• display alerts about suspicious calls.

The app does not use for:
• track user activity outside of calls;
• read private messages;
• collect passwords or payment information;
• monitor activity in other apps not related to calls.

Call analysis is performed locally on the user's device. Call content is not transmitted to third-party servers.

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE

Ahova uses the Android AccessibilityService API as a core part of messenger call protection.

Why: Android phone APIs do not reliably report when a call starts or ends inside Telegram, WhatsApp or Viber. Accessibility Service lets Ahova detect the visible call screen in those apps.

What it does:
• reads visible on-screen elements during an active supported call to detect incoming, ongoing and ended call status;
• may read the Name and Phone number shown on that call screen to identify the other party for the current on-device protection session;
• if you separately enable Automatic Protection, activates the visible End Call control once when on-device protection detects a high-risk scam signal.

What it does not do:
• does not record or listen to call audio (Voice or sound recordings use the microphone permission, not Accessibility Service);
• does not read messages, passwords, payment information or your activity in other apps;
• does not change system settings or prevent you from disabling or uninstalling Ahova.

You can decline or turn off Accessibility Service in Android settings at any time. Without it, Ahova cannot protect calls in Telegram, WhatsApp or Viber. Other features continue to work.
