About this app

The launcher Material You deserves.

Merit is not another grid of icons. It is a home screen you build like a playground: tiles in any of Material's shapes, colours taken from your wallpaper, and live tiles that open into shelves of widgets. Everything moves with the springy, liquid motion of Material 3 Expressive.

MAKE IT YOURS
• Tiles from a single cell to the full width, in any of Material's shapes: cookies, clovers, circles, gems and more
• Drag, drop and resize freely. Neighbours make room, and gaps close by themselves
• Group tiles into named sections, as tinted cards or open lists
• Colours from your wallpaper, or an accent of your own, in light or dark

TILES THAT OPEN INTO SHELVES
• Tap a tile and its shelf flows out of it, holding that app's own widgets and shortcuts
• A liquid bridge joins tile and shelf, and folds away again when you are done

LIVE TILES
• Weather with the day's high and low, a clock, your next appointment, battery, steps and what's playing
• A photo tile that shows a new picture each time you come home
• A timer and a stopwatch, one tap away

YOUR DAY, BEFORE YOU ASK
• The Now page gathers what needs you: missed calls, and messages from the apps you choose
• What is later today, on a timeline of the day from sunrise to sunset
• Everything else folds away under Other, never lost

EVERY ICON THEMED
• Themed, mono or accent icons for every app, even apps with no themed icon of their own
• Borrow icons from a fill-in icon pack, let Merit cut a clean shape from the app's own icon, or fall back to a crisp letter
• Any ADW-compatible icon pack, and a choice per app when you want one

AN APP LIST THAT KNOWS YOU
• The Index sorts by how often you open apps, or A to Z, with search and a letter rail
• Apps you have not opened in weeks fold away behind Show all

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account. Your layout and settings stay on your phone
• Notifications, calendar and app usage are read on your phone and never sent anywhere
• Merit shows a small ad in a few places. One purchase removes ads for good

Merit needs Android 12 or later.

What’s new

• New Contact tile: someone to call or message in one tap, with their photo or initials. Add as many as you like.
