Created with the guidance of experienced dating coaches, marriage counselors, and a board of rabbinic advisors representing a broad spectrum of the Jewish community, Met at Chabad was built after months of extensive research into the challenges facing Jewish dating today.
Dating has changed dramatically. With the rise of quick-fix dating apps, we’ve become accustomed to making some of life’s most important decisions with the swipe of a finger. Algorithms and specifications can sort people by age, location, interests, and preferences, but people aren’t products, and meaningful relationships can’t be reduced to a checklist.
We believe there’s a better way.
Our two-pronged approach combines human connection with thoughtful technology to create a more intentional approach to Jewish dating.
At the heart of Met at Chabad is a matchmaking system being developed with a team at Yale University, designed to consider Jewish, family, and personal values alongside compatibility. Powered by professional matchmakers, the technology is designed to enhance, not replace, the human element of matchmaking.
Because the goal isn’t simply to make more matches. It’s to help create better ones.
Beyond matchmaking, Met at Chabad offers speed dating, trained dating coaches, social events, and other opportunities for Jewish singles to connect in meaningful ways.
This is dating with intention. And we’re just getting started.
