Mesh Chat is a messaging app that works by connecting directly to the phones around you. No server, no SIM card, no Wi-Fi network, no mobile data. Your messages never touch the internet — they travel device to device.

▍HOW IT WORKS
Mesh Chat uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct to automatically find other Mesh Chat users nearby and form a direct network with them. When the person you're messaging is out of range, the devices in between pass it along for you. The network grows as more people join.

▍WORKS WITH ANDROID AND iPHONE
Android and iOS devices join the same mesh and message each other freely — including in a mixed relay chain, where an Android hands a message to an iPhone, which hands it to the next Android. Text, private messages, images and location all work across platforms.

▍END-TO-END ENCRYPTION
Private messages are encrypted before they leave your phone and can only be opened on the recipient's device. Every connection generates single-use session keys (forward secrecy): when the session ends those keys are destroyed, so past messages cannot be unlocked later — even if your device is compromised afterwards.

▍PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU RELY ON IT
Mesh Chat is a peer-to-peer tool built on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct, and those technologies have real limits you should understand:

• Range depends on your surroundings. Walls, crowds and interference shorten it significantly.
• Delivery is not guaranteed. A message only arrives if a chain of devices running Mesh Chat is close enough to carry it.
• Every relaying device needs the app running for the chain to work.
• Continuous scanning uses more battery than a normal messaging app.
• Mesh Chat is not a replacement for emergency services. Always call your local emergency number first when help is available.

Mesh Chat is best understood as an extra way to reach people when the usual ones aren't there — not as a guarantee that you always will.
