Plan your astronomical observation sessions, track active meteor streams, and log meteor counts in a standardized format. Meteor Watch is a streamlined digital utility engineered for amateur astronomers and meteor observers to monitor annual shower peaks, record real-time counts, and compile local observation statistics.

Core Features & Session Mechanics:
Tonight’s Sky Dashboard: Check your current sky viewing conditions at a glance, featuring a localized moon illumination phase indicator and a prompt launcher to initialize observation sessions.

Annual Activity & Peak Forecasts: Browse a comprehensive schedule of major annual meteor streams—including the SDA, PER, ORI, LEO, GEM, and URS. Filter streams by All, Major, or Favorites to view exact peak dates, activity thresholds, and projected Zenithal Hourly Rate (ZHR) values.

Comprehensive Session Setup: Configure custom observation sessions before heading into the field. Log your Session Title, choose your Target Shower, select coordinates from your saved Observing Locations, and record real-time sky conditions:

Sky Transparency: Rate clarity across Excellent, Good, Moderate, or Poor indices.

Cloud Cover: Input precise obstruction values via a fluid percentage slider.

Limiting Magnitude: Mark sky darkness levels using a dedicated slider scale.

One-Tap Gesture Registration: Document meteor observations instantaneously without losing night adaptation. Tap the active radar zone to log a meteor, applying customized physical parameters instantly to each tap:

Brightness: Classify visibility as Very faint, Faint, Medium, or Bright.

Color: Choose from White, Yellow, Orange, or Green hues.

Flags: Differentiate counts cleanly between Shower and Sporadic tracks, and toggle Train flags for persistent streaks.

Duration: Mark interval lengths across Flash, Short, Medium, or Long presets.

Session Summaries & Notes: Review a transparent breakdown upon completing your session. Track your active logging duration alongside exact counts for Total, Shower, and Sporadic meteors. Append explicit qualitative observations in the Session Notes terminal before saving.

Dynamic Statistics Tracker: Build an illustrated archive of your astronomical journey. Track your active observation streaks, log your top observed showers, and view a comparative breakdown of your Meteors by Month via an integrated bar chart.

International Database Integration: Transmit standardized observational records directly to global networks, aligning your personal findings with databases like the International Meteor Organization (IMO) to compare results with enthusiasts worldwide.

Preferences & Workspaces:
Observing Locations Manager: Add and save multiple recurring observation points by assigning a custom location name along with precise Latitude and Longitude coordinates.

Localized Database Controls: Maintain full command over your device's history. Review local app parameters, reference the standard privacy policy, or completely wipe your active logs using the single-tap Clear History trigger.
