The process to set up a mobile banking account with Union Bank is extremely cumbersome. You must first sign up for an online banking account. Unfortunately, the online application form is useless. They won't process the information until they call you to confirm it. This is ridiculous and redundant! The whole point of online banking is to get away from needless and aggravating phone calls. After you get your online banking account, you can then proceed to link your phone number for mobile banking. The worst problem with this app, is that there is no way to get back into your account if you happen to type in the wrong password. They don't even have a password reset feature like normal banks do. If you get locked out of your account, guess what? You are going to have to make a phone call to these people and they don't hide the fact that they are highly annoyed that you called in to fix it. Another problem with this app is that you can't use the check scan deposit feature unless you have more than $300 in the account. This is irritating especially when using this bank as a secondary or tertiary banking account for miscellaneous transactions that I want separate from my main bank.
