Most people can't tell the difference between a legitimate link and a fake one. Attackers are sophisticated — they clone real websites pixel-perfect, register domains that look almost identical to trusted brands, and use URL shorteners to hide where a link actually goes. Standard antivirus apps protect your files, but they don't protect you at the moment you tap a link.

How LinkGuard Works
When set as your default link handler, LinkGuard automatically intercepts every link you tap — from WhatsApp, Gmail, SMS, Instagram, anywhere. Within milliseconds it runs a multi-layer scan:

Instant heuristic analysis — checks HTTPS encryption, suspicious domain patterns, brand impersonation, URL shorteners, phishing keywords, and known high-risk domain extensions. Result appears in under 10ms with zero network calls.
Deep engine scan — if a VirusTotal API key is configured, the link is simultaneously submitted to 80+ antivirus and security engines running in the background. The result upgrades automatically when the scan completes, without blocking you.
Smart verdict — links are classified as Safe, Suspicious, or Dangerous, with a plain-language explanation of exactly what was found.

If the link is safe, you can open it with one tap. If it's suspicious or dangerous, LinkGuard shows you the warning and gives you the choice — with the risky option intentionally de-emphasised so you always pause before proceeding.
