StoreClear is an Android storage manager that helps you understand what is using space on your device and remove files you no longer need. It scans local storage after you grant access, shows storage usage clearly, and gives you review screens before deleting selected items.
What StoreClear does:
- Storage dashboard: see used space and file categories such as media, documents, downloads, apps, and other files.
- Duplicate finder: scan for identical files, review duplicate groups, choose which copies to remove, and keep the files you still need.
- Storage heatmap: view folders as a visual map so large folders are easier to spot and inspect.
- Empty folder cleaner: find leftover empty directories and remove only the folders you select.
- Cache cleaner: review cache folders StoreClear can access and clear selected cache items.
- File shredder: choose a file, overwrite it with 1, 3, or 7 passes, then delete it. The app shows progress and keeps a local history of shred jobs.
- Settings: adjust duplicate scan hashing, scan depth, and shred pass count.
How it works:
1. Open StoreClear.
2. Grant the storage permissions Android requests.
3. Review the dashboard or open a cleanup tool.
4. Scan local files.
5. Select the files, folders, or cache items you want to remove.
6. Confirm the cleanup action.
Privacy:
StoreClear is designed to work on your device. It does not require an account, does not include third-party analytics, and does not upload your files. File scanning, duplicate hashing, heatmap generation, cleanup, and shredding run locally.
Permissions:
StoreClear needs storage access to scan and manage files. On supported Android versions, the app may ask for All files access because Android storage manager apps need this permission to inspect and clean folders across shared storage. StoreClear does not request broad installed-app visibility.
Use StoreClear when you want a clear local view of device storage, duplicates, large folders, empty folders, accessible cache files, and selected files you want to overwrite and delete.
