About this app

AyuWatcher plans your day the way Ayurveda does: by the sun, not by the clock.

AyuWatcher works out sunrise, noon and sunset for the place where you are, and builds your day around them. As the year goes on, your plan moves with the sun.

☀️ YOUR DAY, TIMED BY THE SUN
• Get up before dawn, in Brahma muhurta
• Time for cleansing, meditation and exercise
• The main meal around noon, when digestion is said to be strongest
• Work, a walk, and time to slow down
• Bed early enough to be asleep before the night's Pitta hours
Every step explains why it comes when it does. When summer nights are too short for all of it, the plan keeps your sleep and tells you so.

🔆 THE DOSHAS THROUGH THE DAY
Kapha, Pitta and Vata take turns through the day and the night. See which dosha is strongest now, on a dial, as curves or as percentages. Choose the classical division described in the Ashtanga Hridaya, or the familiar 6–10, 10–2, 2–6 clock, which the app marks as a modern convention.

▲ THE FIVE TATTVAS
Akasha, Vayu, Tejas, Apas and Prithvi follow each other in 24-minute periods from sunrise. See which one is running now, and what it is good for.

🍂 THE SIX SEASONS
Ayurveda has six seasons, from Shishira to Hemanta, each with its own food and way of life. AyuWatcher dates them by the sun and shifts them by six months south of the equator. It also marks the two weeks between seasons, when habits should change slowly. And it reads your local climate the Ayurvedic way: cold, dryness and wind raise Vata, heat raises Pitta, and cold and damp raise Kapha.

🌙 THE LUNAR DAY
Today's tithi, the lunar day, with its meaning, and the days ahead with Ekadashi, the full moon and the new moon marked.
