Zoo for Zotero is a free opensource program for viewing your Zotero Libraries!

It's reasonably fast and modern and supports collections, group libraries, webDAV, searching, annotation syncing for attachments, as well as other features.

Currently we only support using the official Zotero Account Syncing.

The app caches the library and only syncs changes so it should be friendly to large libraries! (after the initial sync of course)

I made this app as a hobby/passion project, and I would love it if you leave a review below!

I was skeptical. Other Zotero clients were not a great experience, but this one is perfect! The sync with my desktop Zotero is near immediate, which is the point! Content is consistent between my phones, Pixelbook Go (Chromebook), that devices' Linux container, my Linux desktop, and my work labs Windows PC. So useful; I have all my SOPs at my fingertips, and is a great reference when I'm out in the field. This has been flawless for me for 2+ years.

I was pretty excited about this app, but unfortunately loading my library of 12k entries takes ~10 minutes each time the phone is restarted. It's just not usable. EDIT: After switching to a new phone, the long delays have disappeared! Not sure exactly what explains this. In any case, I'm now happy to recommend the app.

Fantastic! I used Mendeley until they cancelled their app. I wanted my PDFs synced to my tablet to quickly access and read them. Zotero is great, but this app seals the deal: I can load my library, open a PDF from the reference in my preferred PDF reader (no underpowered built-in reader like Mendeley used to have), and everything just works. Interface is a little bland, but would happily send money to this developer to cover costs and hopefully brighten it up a bit. That's a minor issue.
