About this app

This is an accurate magnetic field detector, featuring a three-dimensional indicator that shows the real direction of the field; it also displays a simple graph of the Magnetic Field (its total magnitude) vs. Time (a 20s interval at 10 samples per second). Our app (portrait orientation, Android 6 or newer) will only work on tablets and smartphones that have a magnetic sensor. You can use the magnetometer to measure and study the magnetic field produced by different sources (to verify its proportionality with distance, for example), as a detector for magnets and metals and as an indicator for Earth's geomagnetic field.

Features:

-- two units of measurement can be selected (Gauss or Tesla)
-- free app - no ads, no limitations
-- no special permissions are required
-- this app keeps the phone's screen on
-- sound alert when a certain level is reached
-- the sampling rate can be adjusted (10..50 samples per second)

(update) I changed the settings to higher field levels and then started working correctly. Now 4 stars. (initial review) The 3D arrow is using data from the accelerometer, not the magnetometer. So just pointing to the center of the earth. It could have 5 stars if fixed.

The real magnetic fields lines, which are shown in this app, are tilted always toward the Earth's center. Everywhere except at the Equator. To confirm the magnetic data our app uses just move the phone near a speaker or a permanent magnet, and see how the vector changes. Waiting for your new rating, Microsys Team.

Awesome app. The arrow points in the direction of magnetic north. Perfect for identifying a magnet's polarity.

Perfect tool for my purpose: testing how good the shielding box is for a neodymium magnet. By rotating the magnet in the box in front of the telephone, the 3D pointer also rotates - or not if the shielding is good. Very clear! Thanks!
