About this app

ternii is a private assistant that runs entirely on your phone.

No account, no sign-in, no cloud. By default nothing you type, say or attach ever leaves your device - it works in aeroplane mode.

WHAT IT RUNS
ternii runs Brain 1.0, Middletech's own model, built from scratch. It downloads once on first run, and after that everything happens on the handset.

- Maths, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, law, code and more.
- Your question is routed to the right specialist, and the answer says which one handled it.
- It shows its working, and tells you when it is not confident instead of guessing.
- Arithmetic is calculated, not predicted.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- No account. No tracking. No advertising. No ad identifiers.
- Conversations, notes and files stay on the device, encrypted at rest.
- Optional connectors - calendar, weather, headlines, contacts - are each opt-in and read locally on the phone.
- A web lookup sends only your query, and only when you ask for one.

SMALL ENOUGH TO RUN ANYWHERE
ternii is built to be light, so it runs on older handsets rather than only the newest flagships.

Storage: allow about 2 GB of free space for the app and its model. The model download is best done on Wi-Fi.
