Bandobast App is a smart, secure attendance and duty management application designed specifically for constables and other police personnel, helping replace paper registers and manual roll calls with a simple, reliable mobile solution. The app allows users to mark their daily attendance and duty presence directly from their phone, whether they are on station duty, bandobast, patrolling, night duty or special deployments such as VIP visits, festivals, rallies or elections. Each check-in is time stamped and, where configured by the department, can also be location tagged, creating a trustworthy digital record of who reported, where they reported and at what time. Personnel can quickly see their duty for the day, reporting time, reporting point and any changes communicated by their station or control room, along with the ability to view their past duty and attendance history whenever needed. This reduces confusion, eliminates the need to rely on multiple registers and gives every user a clear personal record that can be referred to during inspections or internal reviews. For station staff and supervisory officers, Bandobast App works as the mobile front-end of a central bandobast and duty planning system, feeding live attendance and deployment data from the field into dashboards and reports. This allows officers to know, at any moment, how many personnel are present, how many are deployed on which duty and how much strength is available for emergencies or additional bandobast. Because attendance is captured digitally and in a structured way, the workload of manually compiling data from paper registers into spreadsheets or other tools is significantly reduced, and the chances of human error or missing entries are much lower. The app is designed for real policing conditions in India, including low or patchy network environments, and supports offline working so that attendance can be marked even when internet connectivity is weak and will sync automatically when the network is available again. Depending on departmental configuration, Bandobast App can also support features such as geo-tagged attendance, QR or code-based check-ins at specific points, and checks to reduce duplicate or fake entries, making the data more dependable for official use. Security and privacy are handled seriously, with role-based login, encrypted communication and controlled access to data based on rank, role and permissions defined by the department. The app is not meant for the general public and is intended to be used only by authorized police personnel as part of an official deployment of the Bandobast system. By digitizing attendance and duty records, Bandobast App helps create a clean, auditable trail of duty performance over time, which can support fairer duty rotation, better planning, improved transparency and more informed decision making at different levels of the police hierarchy.
