I'm honestly not sure if it's an app or hardware issue but there are constant connection issues, false alarms, settings that change all by themselves and full on hardware failures that require a hard reset. Update- After the most recent update the app will no longer run in the background which renders my phone useless if I want to use the monitor. Any time the app isn't in focus, including when the screen is off causes the app to disconnect from the monitor until the app is back in focus.

Very cool monitor, mostly great. The down side is it will run my phone dead in about 3 hours even if I'm not monitoring. Wife and I will have the app freeze at least 3 times a day (iphone and Android versions). It continually reads movement when there is none, and sleeping when awake.... Most recently I've lost the ability to control half of the sounds from only my phone. This is a new one to me.

The app will no longer run in the background on any (Android) phone. Which means I must have the app open all the time. Very frustrating. It's no longer a safe option for a baby monitor, if it can't run in the background. Edit: Support was able to resolve this for me. Review updated accordingly.
