Millhearth is the classic strategy board game nine men's morris on your phone: three nested squares, twenty-four points, nine stones each and sixteen possible mills. Line up three of your stones to form a mill and remove one of your opponent's stones. Easy to learn, deep to master, and completely offline. No account, no ads, no tracking.
HOW THE GAME WORKS
- Three phases. First you take turns placing your nine stones on any empty point. Then you slide a stone along a line to a neighbouring empty point. With only three stones left you may fly to any empty point (this rule can be switched off in Settings).
- Form a mill, three in a row along a line, by placing or moving and you remove one opponent stone. Stones that sit in a mill are protected unless every opponent stone is in a mill.
- You win when your opponent is down to two stones or cannot move. The game is a draw after threefold repetition or thirty moves in a row without a mill.
- White (the light stones) moves first, and you choose your side.
PLAY YOUR WAY
- Play vs Computer on Easy, Medium or Hard, or choose 2 Players and pass and play on one phone. Easy takes mills and sometimes blocks. Medium looks a few moves ahead. Hard searches much deeper and is a real challenge.
- Tap a point to place a stone. Tap one of your stones, then a highlighted point, to move it. When you form a mill the removable stones are highlighted and a prompt asks you to pick one.
- Undo your last move (against the computer it also takes back the reply), ask for a hint that marks a good move, or restart or resign.
- Your game is saved automatically, and Resume picks up where you stopped, even after the app is closed.
- Statistics: games played, wins by difficulty and mode, mills formed, stones captured and your win streak.
CLEAR AND ACCESSIBLE
- Stones never rely on colour alone: light stones have an outline ring and the high-contrast style adds a centre mark. The last move is marked and removable stones are highlighted.
- Two board looks, Light, Dark and System themes, adjustable animation speed, optional sound effects and haptics.
- Screen reader descriptions for every point, large touch targets and edge-to-edge layout.
