Mimiq is a memory game built on one simple idea: watch a pattern appear, then draw it back from memory.
The screen is split in two. A pattern lights up on the top grid for a moment, then goes dark. Your job is to reproduce it on the bottom grid. Get it right and the next pattern comes immediately — no menus, no waiting. Get it wrong five times and the run is over.
The grid starts at 3×3 and grows to 6×6 as you go. Every level adds one more square to remember.
THREE MODES
Classic — Memorize the pattern, draw it back. The one everything else is built on.
Chain — Squares light up one at a time, in order. You have to tap them back in that same order. Position memory is no longer enough; now the sequence matters too.
Symmetry — Draw the pattern mirrored across the centre line. Your hand keeps wanting to copy what you see, and you have to override it every single time.
PRACTICE MODE
Pick the mode, the grid size and how many squares to remember, then play as long as you like. No score, no lives, no pressure. Useful when a particular grid size keeps beating you.
LEADERBOARD
A separate global ranking for each mode, updated live. You get your own position too, not just the top ten. No account needed — pick a nickname and you're in.
BUILT WITH CARE
· Seven notes tuned to a pentatonic scale, so random taps always sound musical
· Colour-blind mode that adds symbols alongside colours
· Reduce-motion option for anyone who finds animation distracting
· Works offline; your scores sync when you reconnect
· No account, no email, no sign-up
Short rounds, one more try, and a grid that keeps getting bigger.
Watch the pattern, then draw it back. A memory game that keeps growing.
