MindLoam is built for the moment when a quick check becomes another scroll, another video, and another hour gone.
It is a calm app blocker and website blocker that helps you give your intentions a little more weight.
Choose the apps and websites you want to set aside, and the times you want them out of reach. When the impulse comes, MindLoam creates a calm pause between wanting and doing, giving the clear-headed version of you more room to be heard before the tired, bored, or automatic one takes over.
It is intention, not a cage.
What you can do:
Block distracting apps
Set aside social feeds, short-form video, games, and anything else that pulls you in when you meant to be doing something else.
Block distracting websites
Keep unwanted and time-sinking websites out of easy reach during the times you have chosen to focus, rest, work, or study.
Protect the hours that matter
Make room for deep work, study, bedtime, mornings, family time, or simply being more present. MindLoam helps you hold the line you chose.
Add an optional accountability partner
Invite someone you trust when you want another person beside you in keeping the commitment you made to yourself.
Keep your choices private
No accounts. No ads. No tracking. Your choices stay on your phone.
How website blocking works (VPN permission)
MindLoam uses Android's VpnService to run a local, on-device VPN. This is how the website blocking works: the VPN inspects DNS requests on your phone and blocks the sites you chose to set aside during your chosen times. It is not a remote or proxy VPN. There is no VPN server, no tunnel to another location, and none of your browsing is routed off your device or uploaded. The VPN exists only to enforce your own website-blocking choices, and you grant the standard system VPN permission before it starts.
A calmer kind of self control
MindLoam is a self control app built around choice, not punishment. There are no streaks, scores, or guilt. It does not pretend willpower is infinite. It simply puts a little distance between an impulse and the action that follows.
Use MindLoam when you want to reduce screen time, stop doomscrolling, protect your focus, or step back from patterns you might think of as phone
addiction.
It is a quieter approach to digital wellbeing. Less automatic scrolling. More deliberate time.
MindLoam is for anyone who loves what their phone can do, but wants it to take up less of their life.
What's free and what's Plus
MindLoam is free to use: one nightly time block, up to 15 apps, up to 5 websites you choose, and automatic malware and phishing site filtering.
MindLoam Plus is an optional upgrade with unlimited time blocks, unlimited apps and websites, automatic adult-content filtering, and the strongest Locked setting. Available monthly, yearly, or as a one-time purchase.
(Google will auto-add the "In-app purchases" badge; nothing to do there.)
Stop doomscrolling. Choose where your time goes.
