Photograph a drawing your child made on white paper. PaperFriend cuts it out and turns it into a 3D paper doll you can stand up in your room with AR.

On-device drawing to 3D paper doll

The app finds the paper, flattens it, traces the outline of the drawing, and gives that shape thickness so it stands like a real paper doll. No AI redraws it — your child's lines and colours stay exactly as they were, because the drawing itself becomes the texture.

Drawings stay on this device

Photos of drawings are never uploaded. Cutting out and 3D conversion run here on your device, and the results are stored only inside the app. Ads are the one part that uses the network — your drawings are never sent.

DRAWINGS THAT CUT OUT WELL

White paper, dark unbroken lines, good light. Keep the whole sheet in frame, roughly straight on. If there are several drawings, the largest one is used.

AR NEEDS A SUPPORTED DEVICE

Standing a doll in your room uses ARCore, which not every Android device supports. Making, keeping and viewing paper dolls works on any device.

A cat, a dog, a dinosaur and seven more come with the app, so you can stand one in your room before you draw anything. They were made by this app from crayon drawings, not by a designer.
