Tired of getting calls all day trying to sell you plans, insurance, or loans? My Doorman is a call blocker that filters spam before your phone even rings.

When an unknown number calls, the call is silently rejected: your phone won't ring or vibrate. If the caller is a real person, they'll call back—and that second call goes through normally. Spam bots almost never retry: they're automatically filtered out.

Your saved contacts never go through the doorman: they always ring. And if you were the first caller, the return call goes through directly.

HOW IT WORKS
1) An unknown number calls → it's silently rejected, without ringing or vibration.

2) If they call back within your window (which you set, up to 24 hours) → it goes through and rings normally.

3) Autodialers, bots, and call centers almost never retry → they're automatically filtered out.

IF YOU CALLED FIRST, THEY CALL YOU BACK
You called the technician, their home, or a salesperson and they didn't answer. When they call you back, it goes straight through: they don't have to retry, and you don't have to do anything. This permission lasts 7 days and expires automatically, so a business number you called once doesn't have free rein forever.

WHAT PERMISSIONS DOES IT REQUEST AND WHY?
• Call filtering app (caller ID and spam): the Android system role that allows it to decide on the call before it rings. This same role notifies it of calls you make to unsaved numbers and is only used to allow return calls.

• Contacts: to recognize who is in your address book and always allow them to go through. Your contacts stay on your device.

• My Doorbell DOES NOT use call log permission or access your call history.

FAQ
What if someone important calls me for the first time? If it's important, they'll call back, and that second call will go through. The longer your retry window, the less risk you have of missing a real call.

If I call first, will it block my return call? No. My Doorbell recognizes the numbers you called and allows return calls for 7 days, without retries.

Do I need internet? No. The filter works offline.

Can I turn it off whenever I want? Yes, with a tap from the home screen.

Does it block WhatsApp or Telegram calls? No. Android only allows filtering regular phone line calls.

BEFORE INSTALLING
Android only allows one call filtering app at a time: if you use a caller ID app, you'll have to choose which one to keep active. On some phones (Xiaomi, Huawei), it's advisable to disable battery optimization; the app guides you step by step.
