About this app

This app is an internal tool built exclusively for Mi Technologies and its registered drivers, and it is not available to the general public. Its primary function is to enable continuous background location tracking for operational fleet management. The app requires access to background location data to track each driver’s GPS position while they are on duty, including when the app is minimized, the screen is locked, or the device has been restarted.

Background location tracking is the core purpose of this application. When a driver logs in and begins their shift, the app automatically and silently transmits their real-time GPS coordinates to Mi Technologies’ secure internal fleet management system. This allows the operations team to monitor the live location of all active drivers, coordinate dispatching efficiently, and assign jobs based on proximity and availability.

Additionally, the system maintains location records for internal operational analysis and performance monitoring. Continuous tracking is necessary because drivers frequently use their mobile devices for navigation, calls, and other work-related activities. If location access were limited to foreground use only, tracking would stop whenever the app is not actively open, resulting in loss of visibility and making real-time coordination impossible.

The app is designed to run seamlessly in the background without interrupting the driver’s normal device usage. It ensures reliable and accurate tracking throughout the workday, even across device reboots, to support uninterrupted fleet operations.

All collected location data is transmitted securely and is used strictly for internal purposes by Mi Technologies. The information is never shared with third parties and is not used for advertising or any form of external distribution.
