About this app

Bring your avatar into the real world.

VPocketX is an AR camera app that lets you place your VRM avatar in real space and take photos.

While traveling, on your way to school, or in your usual room, you can capture a photo with your companion by your side.

No 3D knowledge or complicated preparation is required.

It's a camera from the moment you open the app.

■ Take a picture in just a few taps

・When you launch the app, your avatar will be standing there just as it was last time.

Movement, expression, mouth, hands, and direction all continue from where you left off.

・Just hold it over the floor and the feet will be set. You can fix it by tapping "Place here."

・Size is automatic. You can also change it by pinching it with your fingers.

・The avatar will face the camera, so you'll get a photo with eye contact.

■ You can bring in your own VRM

・You can load and use your existing VRM files (.vrm).

・Also supports VRM animations (.vrma).

You can play, pause, and advance frame by frame, so

you can stop and take a picture at "this exact moment".
- You can choose facial expressions (smile, surprise, anger, etc.), mouth shapes, and hand shapes (peace sign, pointing, etc.) on the spot.
- Includes one sample avatar and five types of movements for immediate testing.

■ For photos that blend in with reality

- Reflects the brightness and color of the surrounding environment in the avatar's lighting.
- Creates shadows at the feet and cast shadows, making it appear as if the avatar is standing on the ground.
- You can also hide the avatar behind real-world objects such as desks and people (turn this on in the settings).
- Photo format can be full screen / 3:4 / 1:1. You can decide before taking the picture.

■ Choose the color tone after taking the picture.

・11 color tone presets (Vivid / Cinema Orange / Nostalgia /
Retro / Sepia / Monochrome, etc.)

・You can re-select the color tone after taking the picture, allowing you to concentrate on composition at the moment of taking the picture.

・Save to camera roll and share directly to social media from the share sheet.

■ Works offline.

Both the loaded avatar and photos are completed entirely within your device.
No account registration or login required. You can take pictures even in places without a signal.

■ Operating Environment

・iOS 15.0 or later / ARKit-compatible iPhone

・Android 10 (API 29) or later / ARCore-compatible device

・Camera usage permission is required for shooting, and photo access permission is required for saving.

This is the shortest camera app for people who have VRM avatars.
