Guess the word before the rope runs out.
Classic hangman, done properly. Six wrong letters and the round is over. Pick a
category, pick a difficulty, and start guessing — one tap from the home screen
gets you straight into a word.
ELEVEN THOUSAND WORDS
Ten categories — animals, food, nature, science, technology, sports,
professions, movies, countries and a broad general list. Every word comes with
a real clue, not a filler hint, so a word you have never met is still fair.
FOUR DIFFICULTY BANDS
Easy and Medium are drawn only from the most common words in English, so you
will never be asked to spell something nobody has heard of. Hard and Expert open
up the long tail for people who want it.
SIX WAYS TO PLAY
• Classic — six lives, one word, no clock
• Speed — the same game against the timer
• Endless — keep going until you run out
• Survival — one pool of mistakes across a whole run
• Challenge — fewer lives, harder words
• Daily — one word a day, the same for everyone, with a streak to keep
PASS AND PLAY
Type a word, hand the phone over, and let someone else try to guess it. The
field is masked while you type, so the person waiting cannot read it over your
shoulder. No second device and no connection needed.
PLAYS ANYWHERE
There is no network call anywhere in this game. The whole word list ships inside
the app and the daily word is worked out from the date, so a plane, a tunnel or
a dead zone makes no difference. No account, no sign-up, no email address.
BUILT TO BE READABLE
The keyboard is alphabetical, not QWERTY — hangman is the question "have I tried
J yet?", and a QWERTY layout makes that a three-row scan. Wrong keys are dimmed
as well as recoloured, so colour is never the only signal. Four themes,
including a warm Tomb theme painted to match the artwork, and a light mode.
TRACK YOUR GAME
Win streaks, a day streak that counts turning up rather than winning,
experience, levels and achievements.
Free to play, with ads.
