A language learning app that syncs a Spotify song. You can view live translations of each sentence, stream definitions of each phrase, and filter definitions shown through any given Anki decks.
* An internet connection is required for the app to function. Aditionally, Spotify or another media player is required to fully use the app.
There are 2 ways to use the app. Live Sync and Search (fallback method). Aditionally, Anki is required for the deck filtering feature.
a) Live Sync:
1. Dismiss the initial onboarding screen.
2. Open Spotify (or any other music app that shows standard media notifications) and play a Japanese song.
3. Return to LyriSync. If you are not using Spotify, navigate to the Settings tab and change the "Media Provider" to "Universal".
4. The app will automatically detect the song and begin scrolling lyrics and translations.
b) Search: If you do not have Spotify installed or a premium account, you can still use the core lyric and translation engine.
1. Dismiss the initial onboarding screen.
2. Navigate to the 'Search' tab (the magnifying glass icon at the bottom).
3. Search for a Japanese song (e.g., "Lemon" or "Usseewa").
4. Tap the result. The app will manually load the lyrics, furigana, and English translations on demand to verify functionality.
