Listen to texts you want to memorize, repeat them, and recall them on your own. Replay is a memorization app that allows you to practice poetry, prose, and speeches, from individual phrases to full texts.
■ Select a Text to Practice
You can read and listen to excerpts from Korean poetry, speeches, and essays. Check the details screen for the author, source, and excerpt/translation information.
■ From Phrase to Full Text
First, listen while looking at the original text, and then repeat the hidden phrases. As you progress through the stages, recall longer sections and check the full text yourself. You can practice using keyboard input and direct text verification even when speaking is difficult or voice recognition is unavailable.
In the fill-in-the-blank practice, the current blank is automatically filled in after 5 seconds without input. Inputting restarts the waiting time, and you can stop or resume auto-filling. The automatically filled content is displayed as help, and the practice waits for confirmation.
■ Practice Your Own Texts
Type or paste long prose or speeches you want to memorize using the keyboard and save them. Voice input is also available. Voice recognition results can be edited and saved within the same editing area. Practice the saved text by breaking it down into phrases, and continue from where you left off.
■ Record and Voice Selection
Texts, practice records, progress steps, and review schedules are saved on your device. You can use the service without signing up or making in-app purchases. Non-personalized banner ads may be displayed on the Home and Library screens, while there are no ads on the practice screen. Synchronization between devices is not provided.
Reading aloud and voice recognition depend on the device and the installed voice service's support. Online voice processing is turned off by default. If you allow it in Settings and agree to the prompts for voice input, your spoken voice and the text to be read aloud may be transmitted to your device's voice service provider. You can use the keyboard and manual confirmation even if you do not agree. The app does not permanently store recording files or entire sentences recognized during practice. However, if you save the recognition result as text in "Edit My Text," that text will be stored on your device.
App guides support 10 languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Hindi, and Arabic. You can select the screen language and the content language separately, and the default text is Korean.
