About this app

**The fastest way to turn on your flashlight — no unlocking, no searching, no app to open.**

Flashlight Widget adds a simple ON/OFF button directly to your home screen. One tap turns the torch on; another tap turns it off. That's it.

**Why Flashlight Widget?**

Most flashlight apps make you unlock your phone, find the app, open it, and then tap a button. When you need light urgently — in the dark, in an emergency, fumbling with your keys — those extra seconds matter. Flashlight Widget puts the switch right where you need it: your home screen.

**Features:**

• Instant toggle — tap the widget, light turns on or off immediately
• No ads, no background services, no unnecessary battery drain
• Tiny widget footprint — fits in a single grid cell
• Works with all Android home screens that support widgets
• Uses the modern Camera2 API for reliable torch control across all devices
• Clean, clear ON/OFF icons so you always know the current state
• Handles devices without a flash gracefully — no crashes, just a friendly message

**Permissions explained:**

• **Camera** — required to access the device flash/torch. This is the only permission the app uses. Your camera feed is never opened or recorded.

**Compatible with:**
Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and above. Tested on a wide range of devices including Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, OnePlus, Xiaomi, and more.

**How to add the widget:**
1. Long-press an empty area on your home screen
2. Tap "Widgets"
3. Find "Flashlight Widget" and drag it to your home screen
4. Done — tap it to toggle your torch!
