Siyam is your Sunnah-fasting companion. A fully Arabic, offline planner that tells you exactly which days to fast and which days fasting is disliked or forbidden, with no manual lookup.
An on-device Umm al-Qura Hijri engine tags every day as recommended (mustahab), disliked (makruh) or forbidden (muharram), and shows the ruling with its evidence and source.
Features:
- Hijri calendar engine (Umm al-Qura, computed on-device) with a today view and a colour-coded month view.
- Auto-tagged days: Mondays and Thursdays, the White Days (13 to 15), Ashura and Tasua, the Day of Arafah, the six of Shawwal, and abundant fasting in Shaban, all marked green (recommended).
- Forbidden days blocked with a clear warning: the two Eids and the days of Tashriq (red, forbidden), plus singling out Friday and the day of doubt (amber, disliked).
- Tap any day to see the ruling, the evidence (a verified hadith), and a link to the source.
- Hajj mode toggle flips the ruling for Arafah and unlocks the Tashriq exception for the tamattu pilgrim.
- Next recommended fast card plus night-before reminders you can tailor to the fasts you follow.
- Fast log, streaks and stats, a one-tap "I fasted today", and a niyyah (intention) reminder.
- Spoken dua for the fasting intention and for iftar (bundled audio with a text-to-speech fallback).
- Fully Arabic, right-to-left throughout, Arabic-Indic numerals, offline, with light and dark themes.
Rulings and evidence are sourced from Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim and the Sunan, with fatawa from Ibn Baz, IslamWeb and IslamQA. The intention is in the heart.
