I really want to find a nav/logging app that I like and that doesn't force me to compromise everything to use, this app ain't it. After leaving OnX, those guys are scum of the earth, I went to Gaia. I absolutely love their tracks functions but their imagry and offline imagry is a big problem. So I gave Basemap a shot and immediately took issues with their constant predatory "turn on notifications" prompting. then I found out you cant do anything with tracks once saved, no color change, no resu

I tried it & I'm done! Some features are great like the wind check, and the detailed maps that seem like Google Earth. But as for property names & lines it's barely legible unless you have a magnifying glass. Using the topography map is weak. I want to save the U.S. detailed topo for my offline map... NOPE! Can't do that! I also don't care about making a journal. I just want to save my trip & my icons. Tree Stand locations, deer sign. I can't believe that I pay for this app! No more!

I split time using this app as well as a competing maps app last fall while hunting. I am very impressed with Basemap's crisp map imaging and it seemed to be spot on with GPS location, even without having cell service. I do need to play around with the app more because I felt like I needed to re-learn some of the menu options. Overall, I am happy with the app, just felt hung up trying to find what I needed. Will tell people to give it a try because it is cheaper than other options
