The TIAA mobile app includes:

Once you get in, the app is pretty nice. But if you set up the app to log in with fingerprint, it constantly throws the "error initializing fingerprint reader" error and the only way back in is manually entering your password. This has been going on for months and you'd think they would have fixed it by now. I use several other banking/finance apps and have absolutely no issues with fingerprint login.

Quite simply, the app doesn't work & never has. As others have experienced, attempting to login with the correct username and password consistently generates "An error has occurred. Please try again." There is never any indication as to what might have been the error. Recently, the website stopped working for my mobile devices regardless of the browser or device used. I can still access the site on my desktop, but that's a little more difficult to stroll around with. Uninstalling.

The app itself is very spartan in features, but is serviceable for day to day simple things. With the exception that they incorrectly report available balance...they do show separate available and current balances, but they report as the same, even though that's not always the case. This is pretty bad... I've never had a worse banking experience. Very slow; ACH transfers take an extra day to become available vs, every other institution.
