⚠️ VoxMap is an independent application published by Mobile Concept. It is not affiliated with, nor supported by, the French government, the Ministry of the Interior, or any other public administration. VoxMap does not represent any government entity and does not facilitate access to official administrative services.
VoxMap is the first mobile participatory democracy platform in France, combining electoral mapping, historical data, territorial data, and citizen mobilization tools.
Our conviction: electoral data is a common good that truly serves democratic debate only under three conditions: it must be legible (immersive mapping rather than a spreadsheet), localized (each citizen starts from their own municipality), and neutral (all political nuances displayed without editorial hierarchy).
Three pillars structure the product:
• Memory — all French municipal, legislative, and presidential elections since 2008, down to the municipality level.
• Territory — demographic and geographic data to contextualize each result (population, area, neighboring municipalities).
• Participation — local petitions, municipal consultations, and feedback on public action, secured by verified identity and anonymized votes.
For whom? Citizens who want to understand their local area before voting, local elected officials who want to take the pulse of their municipality, journalists, and researchers.
Confidentiality and hosting: 100% hosted in France (OVH Strasbourg, outside the CLOUD Act), GDPR compliant by design. Email address and municipality are the only required data. Votes are anonymized using an irreversible SHA-256 hash.
Official Sources of Public Data Used: All electoral and territorial data displayed in VoxMap comes exclusively from official public sources, freely reusable under an open license:
• Election results — Ministry of the Interior, via the official portal: https://www.data.gouv.fr/fr/organizations/ministere-de-l-interieur/
• Public open data — Official platform of the French State: https://www.data.gouv.fr
• Demographic and geographic data — National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE): https://www.insee.fr
• Environmental data — French Agency for Ecological Transition (ADEME): https://data.ademe.fr
• Geographic reference database of municipalities — National Institute of Geographic and Forest Information (IGN) / Géoportail: https://www.geoportail.gouv.fr
VoxMap simply presents, contextualizes, and maps this data. The application does not alter official results and is not a substitute for any public service. For all official administrative procedures (voter registration, proxy voting requests, etc.), users are advised to visit service-public.fr.
