About this app

Maps Ruler Pro is an ad-free distance calculator and land area measurement tool. Measure fields, property plots and routes directly on the map, then save your work for later.

Tap points or draw with your finger to outline the place you want to measure. Check a field before visiting it, estimate a yard's size or trace your next walking route without having to be there.

Distance and land area calculator
Measure straight-line distances between two points or follow a route with multiple points. Switch to area mode to outline fields, yards, property lots and other custom shapes. Trace a fence line or property perimeter to estimate its length. Continuous drawing helps you follow winding paths and irregular outlines.

Edit and label your measurements
Adjust measurement points as you refine your route or area. View individual segment distances and add labels to make your measurements easier to understand.

Save, organize and reopen
Save your measurements and find them again in the gallery. Reopen previous work instead of starting from scratch, and back up saved measurements for future use.

Explore different map views
Switch between standard, satellite and terrain maps to suit the task. Search for a location with autocomplete, or use GPS to quickly find your current position. You can also measure other locations directly on the map.

Use the units you need
View distances in feet, yards or miles, or switch to meters and kilometers. Calculate land area in acres, square meters, hectares and other supported units. Check a property's acreage, measure a walking route in miles or check a golf distance in yards.

Get started in a few taps
Choose Distance mode and place at least two points, or choose Area mode and place at least three points around the shape. Refine your points, choose your units and save the measurement when you are done.

Measurement note
Results are estimates based on map imagery, map data and point placement. GPS accuracy can affect your displayed position when you use it. Maps Ruler Pro does not determine legal property boundaries or replace a professional land survey.

Ratings and reviews

I've used Maps Ruler Pro for years, it's very good for measuring distances in my occupation. Recently updated and the format has changed a bit. Please bring back the trash bin/ delete all on the main interface. When measuring distances I would drop pins or markers every 100 metres and the pins or markers would remain a red colour and as I drive I could easily see how close I was to the pins or markers, under the new interface they turn a grey colour and are hard to see on the map.

I like the update, I just wish it still had the Trash (delete all) button on the top right.

I've used this forever but now the pro version closes as soon as it opens. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't help. The developers need to fix this. There is no point in saying that both the pro version and the non-pro version are the same except for the ads. The non - pro him works, the pro version does not.
