Boro Cars is the leading private hire company in the North East of England
operating the finest technology , is introducing a brand new feature allowing you to book your taxi with the tap of one button. You are also able to track the whereabouts of your vehicle if
it hasn't arrived within 5-10 minutes. Alternatively you can tap another
button and use the new 'Call my Driver ' feature which connects you directly
to the driver that has been allocated your booking. This 'state of the art'
technology is in addition to the text back service which provides you with
the details of the vehicle and driver that has been dispatched to you and
also the ringback service which lets you know when your vehicle has arrived.

I booked a taxi a day in advance for the following morning, but when the time came, the taxi never arrived. The phone number in the app was useless—it only gave me the option to cancel the ride, with no way to speak to anyone for help. As a result, I was late for work because I had to use another app and wait much longer due to the busy morning. I will never use this service again.

The app often breaks and logs you out for no reason, the in-app map is inaccurate and definitely not live, and you will wait longer than the app promises, if you ever get a driver at all. Some will even take your job, sit on it for several minutes and then cancel, meaning the cycle begins all over again. The driver's are often pleasant at least, though don't expect conversation if you're female as some will outright ignore you. Overall poor provision of service that's only getting worse.

Used to be quite good to use until recently. It periodically removes the 'pay by cash' option, forcing to you to pay extra money either by paying by card or using the queue jumper. And if you want to not be ripped off and try and phone one instead? By sheer coincidence, the phone lines are busy, and an automated voice tells you to book using the taxi booking app, then hangs up on you. A pathetic attempt by the owner to try and squeeze more money out of their customers.
