About this app

You recognise a face in a film, a series, a video or an interview, but can’t remember the name? Whose Face helps you find it.

Take a photo of the screen or choose an image from your gallery: Whose Face suggests the name of the public figure with a confidence score.

HIGHLIGHTS
• Simple: two buttons, one clear result.
• Group photos: each face is framed and numbered; tap it to see its result.
• Honest: a low score is shown as an “Uncertain match”.
• Helpful tips when a photo is blurry, dark or the face is too small.
• Protected gallery: only the image you choose is shared with the app.

PRIVACY
• No account, no history.
• Before sending, the photo is resized and stripped of its metadata, including location.
• The analysis is performed by Amazon Rekognition (Amazon Web Services), in Europe, only after your agreement. Mobiverse Games keeps neither your photos nor your results.
• Your advertising choices and upload permission can be changed at any time in the app.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Whose Face only recognises public figures known to the recognition service; it cannot identify private individuals.
• Recognition relies on artificial intelligence: results are estimates and may be wrong.
• An internet connection is required.
• The app is free and shows a banner ad.
• Intended for people aged 16 and over. Only send photos you are allowed to use.
