I like the ease of use of this app and the fact that kanji is used in context. The app needs to have an option to be able to play the example sentences out loud. The app needs to let you disable the writing portion of the kanjo if you dont have a desire to write kanji. The app needs a way to reset the notebook or app without having to delete the account. The app also needs a way to repeat questions that we get wrong sooner so we dont have to wait until it shows again.

The simple, fun interface and great core features make this app a delight to use. The automatic spaced repetition of learned words is great, and I love being made to use / see them in context. That said there are some major bugs. If you accidentally navigate out of learning in Golden Time, it does not save your review progress and it automatically processes all remaining words as failures. Same goes if you restart the app or switch apps. Also sometimes it says you're incorrect, when you're not:

There's a lot of vocabulary and the reminders are helpful but there are a couple major flaws. 1st, the sentences they use to fill in the blank include kanji they haven't taught you yet so it becomes hard to figure out the answer from context. 2nd, and most importantly, the app does not appear to factor in the time of day at all, so loud reminders will go off at 3am. This desperately needs an update to keep it from going of in the middle of the night.
