About this app

MTT-DMX is the companion app for the Model Train Technology MTT-DMX receiver — the 16-channel DMX-512 receiver that lets a standard lighting console drive sound modules, lighting controllers and animation on your layout.

Point the app at your layout and every receiver in range appears by itself. There is nothing to pair and nothing to connect.

LIVE STATUS
See all 16 channels of every receiver at once, updating in real time. Green means the channel is on. Watch your whole system respond as you move faders on the console.

TRIGGER LEVELS
Each channel switches on at a DMX level you choose, anywhere from 0 to 255. Drag a slider and it saves to the receiver automatically — no save button to remember. Need an exact number? Press and hold the value and type it in.

INVERTED CHANNELS
Any channel can be flipped so it turns on when the fader comes DOWN instead of up. Inverted channels are marked in yellow so you can see at a glance which ones they are.

SEVERAL RECEIVERS
Daisy-chain as many receivers as your layout needs and give each one its own DMX start address, from 1 to 497. Name them ("YARD LIGHTS", "TOWN SIGNS") and the name is stored in the receiver itself, so it shows up on every phone.

HEARTBEAT
Switch the receiver's one-second heartbeat pulse on or off, for downstream equipment that wants to know the receiver is alive.

Settings are stored in the receiver, not in the phone. Set it up once and the app can go away — your layout keeps running.
