Modu Hanja is a Hanja learning app where you learn, practice, and check your knowledge with questions every day. Progress at your own pace, from encountering new characters to preparing for proficiency tests.

■ Textbooks Tailored to Your Level

You can choose from beginner, Thousand Character Classic, and educational Hanja, as well as proficiency levels from the Korean Language Society, the Korean Certification Association, the Korean Association for Hanja Education, and the Chamber of Commerce, and study scopes for civil service exams. Set a daily goal and track your progress by marking the characters you have memorized and those you haven't yet. You can mix in previously memorized characters for learning, or study more after completing today's goal.

■ From Meaning and Pronunciation to Words

Examine the large characters along with their pronunciation, radicals, stroke counts, and etymological explanations. Learn how characters are used through the readings and meanings of example words, and listen to the pronunciations. Try practicing recalling the meaning and pronunciation on your own by distinguishing between them.

■ Tracing with Stroke Order

Play the stroke order and learn each stroke one by one while looking at the numbers. You can write repeatedly by turning the outline and stroke order guides on or off. After writing on your own, compare your handwriting with the sample, and review your practice by date in the writing history.

■ Search and Handwriting for Unknown Hanja

Search by Hanja, meaning, or pronunciation, and narrow down results by radical, stroke count, or grade. Check candidate characters by searching among 214 radicals or writing directly on the screen. You can also reopen your recent searches.

■ Tests in Various Ways

Supports choosing meanings, selecting Hanja, and solving problems mixed with Hanja readings. Select a range from Textbook, Grade, My Incorrect Answers, or Bookmarks, and set the number of questions and time limit. Continue the test you were working on, check your correct and incorrect answers in the results, and retake only the questions you got wrong. Review past results in the test history.

■ My Bookmarks

Collect characters you want to remember in bookmarks. You can create your own groups and organize them by changing their names and order. Review your collected characters or test them.

** ■ Learning Notifications Tailored to Your Lifestyle

You can create multiple notifications for your desired time and day of the week. Choose between "Prevent Misses," which allows you to take a break once you meet your daily goal, and "Just Notify," which notifies you on a set date. You can also choose whether to use pop-ups for each notification.

■ Continuous Study at Your Own

You can adjust themes, pronunciation and stroke order speeds, and the positions of the previous and next buttons. Export your learning progress as a CSV file for safekeeping.

User Guide

• Stroke order and tracing are supported only for Hanja for which data is provided.

• Handwriting search requires downloading a recognition model the first time you use the service.

• Notifications operate based on notification permissions and device settings. Setting "Alarms and Reminders" may be required for accurate time notifications.

• Learning records are saved on your device.
