Drive safe and get rewarded! Drivewise® is a free application that gives drivers the ability to save up to 30% on their auto insurance!*

For a six-month period the app will monitor your driving behaviour and provide you with detailed information on:
1. Time and duration of your trips
2. Harsh or extreme braking events
3. Excessive Speed

Edit: reduced from 2 to 1 star. Doesn't track even half my trips. All green checks in setup. The app doesn't track half of my trips. For example, recently I made a trip that was 25 km one way with a short 3 km trip in between. Didn't track either one of the 25 km but tracked the short 3 km trip. Also, the hard brake tracking is way too sensitive. It feels like if I even touch my brakes it registers as a hard brake. Apparently I need to start rolling to a stop at least a km before it.

Shows harsh braking when a light turns red and you stop instead of running the red. Also does not seem to understand vehicles that have collision detection and may react when someone else changes lanes and causes a reaction from my vehicle. Completely opposite of what I would think makes safe driving. I am not running a red light to avoid "harsh braking" events. I wish Allstate would use a better app than this.

This app is way off. It is terribly inaccurate. It registers "harsh braking" when I know for sure that I never braked hard. What If I need to brake hard? If a kid jumps in front of my car or somebody cuts me off, what choice do I have? hit them? Emergency braking should not be considered as bad driving. The other thing is phone use. I never use my phone while driving. I pull over and answer or make a call if I think that it is important. Unless you turn off the engine, the app will register it.
