About this app
Stay updated on your child’s school programmes with Parents Gateway (PG). Receive information, respond to forms, book meetings, declare travels, access parenting resources, and more!
PG is available for mainstream MOE kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, junior colleges, Temasek Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
PG uses Singpass to identify parents of students in these schools. Upon
successful authentication, the connection to Singpass will be terminated. Please remain logged in to receive notifications when schools send new posts. There is no risk of Singpass credentials being stolen if you remain logged in.
[Known Issues]
- Samsung S7 on Android 6 and 7 is known to have compatibility issues. To use Parents Gateway, please upgrade to Android 8
- Enhanced security measures have been put in place for rooted devices. The security measures is known to block apps such as Lucky Patcher and Rom Manager. Uninstalling these apps will enable you to use the Parents Gateway app.
- No or inconsistent notifications received by Oppo and Huawei devices. This is due to battery optimisation configurations set by manufacturer.

I have had no problems with this app for many years, but since last update, I keep having so much difficulty downloading attached files. Files don't download, and I have to close app, restart my phone several times, reinstall app and cross fingers in hopes that it would finally work. Even after it does finally work, the following day, when I try to download another attachment, I will face the same issue.

The slowness in my previous review has been reduced somewhat. However, the weakness has been replaced by another. App's push notification doesn't seem to be working as I've missed all important notifications, even all notifications settings have been enabled.

Dear Ken, thank you for the feedback. Some phones manufacturers have installed a battery optimizing feature which may put Parents Gateway app in "Doze mode", rendering dormant, thus preventing parents from receiving push notification. Please contact us at moe_parents_gateway@moe.gov.sg for assistance on how to avoid this from happening.

the app is pointless! what's the point of having this additional layer when all actions required are done outside the app, FormSG etc. notifications or information could just be pushed as easily on platforms like dojo, emails or even sms. parents could easily reply or acknowledge on those too. why waste money maintaining this? I dont see ECDA developing another app for preschoolers. oh please dont start now....

Dear Parent, Thank you for your feedback. Parents Gateway serves as the official secure platform for school-parent communication within MOE. While FormSG serves different functions, PG ensures sensitive school information remains on government systems rather than commercial platforms, providing standardised security and communication protocols.
