Shame about the 'humour' Works pretty well apart from laggy subtitles. Awful jokes, sexist jibes to a female character right near the start. Just up to three part where he meets Um Bongo, an African character with big lips, where Simon makes jokes about immigration. The game really needs bringing up to date in this regard - I doubt it was barely seen as acceptable even at its time of release.
When did Simon become such a douche? Simon 1 was superb fun, Simon 2 however is awful. As mentioned in previous reviews, the character is utterly deplorable. He is downright cruel and obnoxious to everyone he meets. A prime example is the Morris dancers, the things he says to them are completely unnecessary - his superiority complex makes the game almost unplayable for me. Every time he sees a woman with a mop or at a desk he says "it's good to see a woman in her place." This was written in the 90s not the 40s.
The past is the future. Only ever played first one before. Still very Simon. Dated and occasionally freezes you out, but good, bizarre puzzling. Big adventure and well worth your time if this is your kind of point and click type of thing.
Not as good I found it dragged out and the ending sucked. Still.. I'll get the next one lol
Never had a chance to play it years ago. Proper quest. Works perfectly on Galaxy S6 Edge
