SOSPoint is a personal safety app that helps you alert trusted contacts quickly when you want them to know where you are.
With one tap, SOSPoint starts an active SOS session and can send your trusted contacts an SMS with a secure link to your live location map. Contacts can open the link in a browser without installing the app.
Key features:
- One-tap SOS session
- Live location sharing during an active SOS session
- SMS alerts to trusted contacts you choose
- Up to 5 trusted contacts
- Background location during an active SOS session, so sharing can continue if the app is minimized or the screen is locked
- Manual stop control and automatic session stop
- Available in English, Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian
- Account, support, subscription, and data controls in app settings
Location control:
SOSPoint uses your location only during an active SOS session. You choose when to start and stop sharing. Trusted contacts can view the shared location while the SOS session link is active.
Important:
SOSPoint is a supplemental personal safety tool. It does not replace 911, emergency dispatch, police, fire, ambulance, or other official emergency services. SMS delivery, mobile network access, GPS accuracy, and background location updates can depend on your device, carrier, operating system settings, and third-party providers.
Subscription:
SOSPoint includes a 7-day free trial. After the trial, subscription options are available through Google Play. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Google Play account.
Privacy:
SOSPoint does not sell personal data. See the Privacy Policy for details about account data, trusted contacts, location sharing during active SOS sessions, support requests, subscriptions, data retention, and deletion rights.
At launch, SOSPoint works only in the United States and requires U.S. phone numbers for the account and trusted contacts.
