About this app

The app allows you to encrypt or decrypt text with the simple and widely known Caesar cipher. If you have an caesar encrypted text with a unknown key, the application can decrypt the text for you! This might be useful for riddles or geocaching. Furthermore, the algorithm is visualized with an interactive cipher disk which you can export and print to craft your own paper cipher disk.

The cipher is named after the famous roman dictator Gaius Julius Caesar.
It works with a simple substitution mechanism where each letter is replaced by another letter in the alphabet. For example with a right shift of 5 an "A" is replaced with an "F".

The algorithm is very simple and only serves to understand the theory behind encryption methods. Encrypted texts can be decrypted by anyone without much effort. Please do not use the app for sensitive information or texts that you want to protect from third parties.

Its is a good app.. because its good when you as receiver got an unknown Key for Chiper text..It can auto find plain text base on Key (shift 1-25). Updated : Pop out up shift key doesnt work anymore. You need to manual search all key( 1-25) because the decrypt its self cant be done..from 5 star to 3 star..

Great app, would be cool if you could customize the alphabet for the inner and outer rings individually. Even without that, this is a really neat app. With good procedures, this can create a really secure cipher.

I used to have a problem with this app because it would not change keys so i sent in a comment talking about this and i came back and it was updated he did a great job and it is working smoothly not many ads and Never crashes from the time I have used it I recommend this app
