I am changing my review to one star. A few days ago, the option to use my UPI disappeared from all the apps. My friend who uses this app is having the same problem. I have sent countless emails and messages begging them to help and have gotten no support. In fact, they keep marking my support requests as resolved due to lack of activity BECAUSE THEY KEEP NOT RESPONDING. Do not use this app. Use Chek. My friend who does has had no problems.

The top up fee is high, but the app is fairly reliable. It gave me trouble a few times. One major problem is that it only works with merchant UPI, not personal UPI, so it can be useless depending on the situation. Most autos take only personal UPI in Kerala at least. I've had a few transactions that failed mysteriously at decisive times, so it is no replacement for cash, but all in all it's probably the best UPI app right now for foreign tourists in India.

Being able to use UPI as a foreigner truly makes things easier when travelling in India, and Mony app is quite easy to use for both top ups and payments. However, in one month I faced several issues of payments failing or getting processed and withdrawn from my account while the receiver did not get the payment. The Mony support was quite responsive to solve the issues, but that makes the whole app definitely less smooth. And the fees charged for each action are quite high.
