About this app

MDReader is a simple Markdown reading and editing tool.

• Create, import, rename, and organize Markdown documents.

• Clearly read headings, lists, tables, code blocks, and Mermaid charts.

• Switch between reading and editing; widescreen supports dual columns.

• Uses purely local rule-based completion and format validation; does not utilize AI services.

• View and zoom images; supports exporting Markdown and PDF.

• Import documents from other apps.

• Synchronize text, names, and attachments between confirmed devices on the same local network via QR code pairing.

• Defaults to the system language; supports manual switching between Simplified Chinese and English.

No MDReader account registration is required; all features are free. Appreciation is an optional one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription, and does not unlock features.

Document processing and rendering are performed on the device. Remote images will request data from the image's server; device synchronization requires user activation and pairing confirmation, bypassing the developer's servers. The Android version does not directly connect to iCloud.
