An amazing game, ruined. This game has great art, gameplay, and mods. However, with the most recent update, an essential character is now locked behind a $10 a month battlepass paywall. Ftp is no longer an option. There are games where I don't mind spending that kind of money, but this decision has made it clear that if left unchecked, their greed will run the game into the ground. I won't waste money on a game that is going to die from poor management decisions. You can't win at a dead game.

Very fun, but the tutorials need to be optional or skippable whenever you unlock a new feature. When you get to the point where you can actually start playing the game on your own, it's almost impossible to even upgrade your characters without unlocking a new thing and being forced into another battle. It's extremely frustrating when all of a sudden you get pulled out of the character menu and get stuck in a damn tutorial. I spent 20 minutes already just trying to upgrade the first 3 characters

The developers do a great job at fixing glitches fast and the artists did an amazing job at blending art from the anime into the game. It makes me want to binge watch the show all over again. Edit: BUT after around lv 75 the game slows down to a painful crawl. I haven't progressed in the story one step in weeks. I'm leveling up but I'm still not able to beat any more stages. Difficulty spike is ridiculous. Edit: months now, still no progress. Time to delete.
