About this app

"HearingAidroid (Hearing Aid Mock-up)" is a privacy-focused conversation support app that uses your smartphone's microphone to clearly amplify ambient sounds and simultaneously transcribes the other person's words in real time, completely offline, using the latest AI technology (Google ML Kit).

It implements Google's high-performance audio library "Oboe" in C++ Native. By combining "hearing" support that minimizes the audio latency unique to Android devices with "transcription" that works instantly even without an internet connection, it helps facilitate smooth conversations in hospitals, meetings, and all aspects of daily life.

[Main Features]
• Ultra-low latency sound collection function (hearing aid mode)
Amplifies ambient sounds in real time and delivers them to the earphones. The adoption of the Oboe engine achieves overwhelmingly fast response that doesn't disrupt the flow of conversation.

• On-device real-time transcription
Uses Google ML Kit. All audio analysis is performed within the smartphone, so it works even in airplane mode or in areas with no signal, and conversation content is never transmitted externally without your consent.

• AI Summarization Feature (Optional)
After the conversation ends, the latest AI (Vertex AI / Gemini) is used to concisely summarize the conversation. Communication occurs only when using this feature, but the data is not used for AI training.

• Recording and Playback
The conversation is saved in WAV format. By tapping the transcribed text, you can play back the audio at that specific moment. You can quickly check any parts you missed.

• 5-Band Equalizer
Adjust the sound quality from low to high frequencies to match your hearing and surrounding environment for clearer audio.

• Background Operation
Continues recording and transcribing even while using other apps.

【About the Premium Plan】
This app is free to use for 7 days from the date of installation, with all functions available without restrictions (full-feature trial). To continue using the app after the trial period, you need to purchase the Premium Plan (500 yen one-time purchase) to remove the time limit. Once purchased, you can use it indefinitely without a time limit.

【Notes on Use】
• This app is not a medical device (hearing aid). It is not intended for the diagnosis or treatment of hearing loss.
• Always use earphones or a headset. Using it with speakers will cause severe feedback.

• When using Bluetooth devices, wireless-specific latency may occur. For lower latency, we recommend using wired earphones.

• For security reasons, this app may not be available on rooted devices.

【Privacy and Safety】
• No account registration or login is required. You can start using it immediately after installation.

• Audio data analysis and transcription are completed locally on your device and are not sent to external servers.

• Text data is sent to Google's servers for analysis only when using the "AI Summarization" function. The transmitted data is not used for training or provided to third parties.

今回のアップデートでは、より快適で高精度な利用体験を提供するため、システムを根本から見直しました。
1.音声認識エンジンの変更（Google最新ライブラリの採用） 従来のVoskに代わり、Googleの最新アルファ版ライブラリを試験的に導入しました。これにより、音声認識の精度と処理速度が大幅に向上しています。
※これに伴い、試験運用中だった「話者管理」および「バックアップ機能」は一旦終了させていただきました。
2.試用制限の変更（より「じっくり」試せる7日間へ） これまでの「1回3分間」という細かな制限を廃止し、初回インストールから 30日間、すべての機能を無制限で試用 できる方式に変更しました。 じっくりと使い勝手を確かめていただけます。
3.プレミアム版（買い切り）の価格改定 最新ライブラリの採用により、現時点では将来的な動作保証が難しいため ワンコイン（500円） の設定といたしました。
