Notes is a clean, colorful notepad for everyday ideas, plans and lists. Write without an internet connection, turn tasks into checklists, and pick a look that feels right for you. Your changes save automatically on your device.
A LITTLE SPACE FOR EVERY IDEA
• Write plain-text notes for quick thoughts, longer plans and everything in between.
• Make checklists and tick off items as you go.
• Give notes a color, then find them with search, date and color filters.
• Choose Light, Dark, Code Dark or Code Light, or follow your device’s light and dark appearance.
YOUR NOTES, ON YOUR DEVICE
Start without signing up. There are no ads or analytics in the app. Notes are stored locally, and everyday writing and editing work offline.
LINK DEVICES WHEN YOU WANT TO
Use an invitation to connect another device, compare the verification code and approve the connection. Linked devices can edit the shared workspace and manage device access. Changes exchange while both apps are open and connected to the internet. Sharing does not provide a cloud backup; device and network metadata are used to make connections.
KEEP A COPY
Export the current workspace to a Notes JSON backup and import it later. Exported files are not encrypted, so keep them somewhere private. Move notes to Trash and restore them when needed.
GOOD TO KNOW
• Android system backup is disabled. Keep an exported backup or a surviving linked device; recovery words alone cannot restore lost note content.
• Removing a device stops future updates, but notes already saved on that device remain there.
• Camera access is optional and used only to scan a sharing QR code. You can paste a code instead.
