About this app

Mosahaf is your companion for memorizing the Holy Quran and making it stick — Uthmani script, free, with no ads, on phone and desktop. Every feature works as a guest; signing in is optional and only saves your work to the cloud and syncs it across your devices.

■ Coloring and notes
• Tap any word to color it, and mark the look-alike (mutashabihat) passages with colors that fix them in memory.
• Endless colors: add your own colors to the palette and save them.
• Double-tap a word to add a note (a meaning, a similarity, a reminder), then view, edit, or delete it.

■ Recitation follow and pronunciation (new)
• Read aloud and the app follows you word by word: green for correct, red for a mistake or a skipped word, orange for an extra one, and it turns the page with you.
• Mistake review: it shows where you went wrong with the correct text and saves it to your account.
• Single-word pronunciation: long-press a word to hear it read aloud in a clear human voice.

■ Tafsir and audio
• Repeat a passage to memorize it: pick a range of verses and repeat 3, 5, 10 times, or without stopping.
• Tap a verse number to read its tafsir, with more than one trusted tafsir.
• Audio recitation for any verse or page, with the current verse highlighted and automatic scrolling.
• Several reciters: pick your favorite and your choice is saved.

■ Search and navigation
• Instant verse search that takes you straight there.
• Compare two pages side by side for review and linking.
• Swipe left and right to move between pages.
• Opens on the last page you stopped at.

■ Themes and colors
• Plenty of ready themes and backgrounds, or make your own color.
• Change the colors of the ornaments and the frame however you like.

■ Reports and stats
• Your coloring report: the colors you used, the surahs you colored most, the pages you reviewed most, and how many notes you wrote.
• Export your report as a PDF or share it.

■ Saving and sync
• Free cloud saving that syncs across your devices, with privacy and encryption.
• Export your coloring as a file on your device and restore it whenever you want.
• Try it as a guest, and sign in later to save your work.
